CyberPatriot is the premier national high school cyber defense competition created by the Air Force Association to inspire high school students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation’s future. Arts & Music Program

Since 1973, the District has hosted the band and drill championship to provide an avenue for high school band and drill teams to exhibit their field shows that includes music, dance and pageantry. Groups are adjudicated on how well they execute their shows by a panel of adjudicators and are placed in divisions according to the number of playing musicians on the field. Locations are selected annually to represent the different geographical areas of the District. The second weekend of December is the target for this event that draws thousands of spectators and the media.

Middle School Unit

Every child and youth has a need and a right to participate, in the presence of a responsible, caring adult, in engaging activities that support achievement and promote social, emotional, and physical development beyond the regular school day.

Outdoor Education

Our mission is to provide active programs in environmental education and human relations that will develop a cooperative spirit, a positive self-esteem, and a sense of common responsibility for the future of life on Earth. 

Youth Development Program

Provides comprehensive after school program services, comprised of three major components, Academic Assistance, Enrichment and Recreation in elementary schools.

Camp Skyhook

Beyond the Bell seeks to partner with public and private groups and individuals. 

Migrant Education

The Migrant Education program is a federally funded program designed to enrich and respond to the educational and health needs of migrant children. The program is an addition to the supplemental services already being received by students and provided for all children through the Los Angeles Unified School District.
