2017 Challenge Los Angeles

On Saturday, March 11, 2017 students from nine LAUSD high schools gathered at Reseda High School to showcase their responses for the 2017 Challenge Los Angeles Program. Students Set Sail for “Science at Sea”

Beyond the Bell hosted students from Bridge, Coliseum, Latona and Mayberry Elementary Schools for the “Science at Sea” weekend program in March.  The students in grades 4-6 participated in an overnight weekend adventure at LAUSD’s Pt. Three North Hollywood High teams headed to National CyberPatriot championships

As an after school activity, the program has been sponsored at schools across L.A. Unified since 2010 by the District’s Beyond the Bell Branch. Day of Discovery at the Battleship USS Iowa Awarded Large Grant

L.A. WATERFRONT, CA (March 9,, 2017) – The Day of Discovery Program at the Pacific Battleship Center (PBC) has received a generous grant of $450K from Tesoro Corporation in support of its program aboard Battleship IOWA. Ready-Set-Go!

A big “Thank You!” to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) for bringing their Safety Program to the Ready-Set-Go! Before School Program (RSG). Students were provided safety tips for in and out of the home. The CHP Safety Program visited five RSG programs in February: West Vernon, Hooper, Magnolia, Wilton Place and Alta Loma elementary schools. High School 2017 Summer Term

This year 72 high schools will be open for the Summer Term which will be held from Thursday, June 22, 2017 through Thursday, July 27, 2017.
