Elementary Young Actioneers – Take Action

Project Angel Food provided students at Elementary Take Action sites the opportunity to decorate bags for families in need during this holiday season. This activity gave LAUSD Young Actioneers practice being mindful.

Through different exercises, students shared their dreams, hopes, fears, and how we can support one another through challenging times in our lives. In community circles students discussed how a small act of kindness can bring joy to those facing a difficult time during the season of giving.  Students also discussed different ways they could continue to take action and make a difference.

The Project Angel Food Organization expressed their gratitude for all the gift bags decorated by students.  The specially decorated gift bags were filled with meals and delivered to community members for Thanksgiving.
