Challenge: LA

Challenge Los Angeles is a seven-week competition in which teams of students from various Los Angeles high schools are challenged to develop solutions to complex problems facing their communities.

WHAT IS CHALLENGE LOS ANGELES?

Challenge Los Angeles is a project-based program that empowers students to become change agents in their communities. Students are presented with various challenges/problems their community members face. This may include, hunger, homelessness, environmental, voter/civic participation, and healthy living choices. Each team of students selects one issue to address. They spend 7 weeks creating, designing and implementing their solution. After the 7 weeks the teams present their work to a team of judges. Students are recognized for their commitment to their communities, awarded opportunities to grow their leadership skills and invited to participate at WE.org  events.
